Lars has a background in cognitive psychology and started his PhD in 2017. He was able to get acquainted with multiple sclerosis during an internship on novel treatment techniques at the Institute of Neurology at Queen Square (University College London). During his PhD, he will be working on the analysis of magnetoencephalographic data using more conventional approaches, such as time frequency analysis, and more novel techniques, such as microstate analysis or hidden Markov model analysis. He will relate altered brain function assessed by these techniques to brain structure using magnetic resonance imaging and diffusion tensor imaging.
