Dr. Dieter Zeeuws graduated as a medical doctor from VUB in 2003 and became psychiatry registrar at UZ Brussel in 2008. Up to this day he continued working as a clinician at the department of psychiatry. Concerning his clinical research, he has interest in neuropsychiatric disease and diagnostics, addiction, neuromodulation, functional (or medically unexplained physical) symptoms and the humanities. He has been principal investigator in several industry-driven psychopharmacological studies and collaborated in academic research on alcohol use disorders and studies with rTMS. He is currently in a multidisciplinary project exploring the possibilities of wearables in functional neurological disorders.
