Jeroen’s research focusses on the assessment and mechanisms of cognitive impairment in multiple sclerosis in close collaboration with the National MS Center Melsbroek. In recent years, he showed the importance of slowed information processing speed as a consequence of MS using neuropsychological data, neurophysiological assessments and MR imaging data.
His current research project focusses on the assessment of the intra-cortical conduction velocity through the combination of functional and structural network analyses. To this end, he set up an observational study in which both magnetoencephalographic and diffusion tensor imaging data are collected and analysed.
